- 6 cups fresh watermelon chunks (about half a medium watermelon)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 6-8 lemons)
- ⅓ cup honey or sugar (adjustable to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Cut watermelon into chunks and puree in a blender until smooth
Strain watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp (optional)
Squeeze lemons and strain juice to remove seeds
In a large pitcher, combine watermelon puree, lemon juice, and sweetener
Stir until sweetener dissolves completely
Add cold water and stir to combine
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and allow flavors to meld
Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint if desired
- For a sparkling version, substitute half the water with club soda just before serving
- Adjust sweetener to taste depending on the sweetness of your watermelon
