- 2 cups fresh watermelon juice (~350g fresh watermelon)
- ½ lime juiced (or lemon for a slightly different tang) (or lemon for a slightly different tang)
- 5-6 fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- 1 cup sparkling water (or coconut water for a tropical version)
- ½ tsp honey or agave syrup (if needed)
- Garnish: Watermelon wedges, mint sprigs, lime slices
Prepare the Watermelon Juice
Cut the watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds (if not using a seedless variety).
Blend the cubes on high speed until smooth.
Strain (optional): If you prefer a pulp-free drink, pour the blended juice through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher.
Muddle the Mint & Lime
In your serving glass, add fresh mint leaves and the juice of half a lime.
Use a muddler or spoon to press down on the mint and lime juice, releasing their oils and aromas.
Don't overdo it—just a few presses are enough.
Add Ice & Watermelon Juice
Fill the glass with ice cubes—this chills the drink and slightly dilutes the intensity, making it easier to sip.
Pour in the fresh watermelon juice, leaving some space at the top for the final fizz.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with a small watermelon wedge on the rim of the glass.
Add a mint sprig for an extra fresh aroma.
Optionally, place a thin lime slice on top for visual appeal.
